Freepass
Unter dem Titel New Frontier Pass wurde eine Reihe von DLCs zusammengefasst, die von 2020 bis 2021 erschienen und neben neuen Spielmodi und kleineren Änderungen auch neue Völker parat hielten: die Maya, Großkolumbien, Äthiopien, Byzanz, die Gaga – die Gagaga – die Gallier (kleiner Scherz), Babylon, Vietnam und Portugal. Während bei den meisten Fraktionen wieder auf originale Melodien zurückgegriffen werden konnte, musste bei Babylonien und den Galliern mangels Vorlage etwas getrickst werden.

So handelt es sich bei den Gaul -Tracks um eine Eigenkomposition, die mit der belgischen Nationalhymne La Brabançonne ergänzt wurde. Bei Babylon wurde hingegen gänzlich neu komponiert – und das klingt dann so, wie sich Leute von heute das Imperium vorgestellt haben. Generell ist die Musik auf gewohnt hohem Niveau und macht einfach Spaß. Klare Empfehlung!
