Evolutionäre Einbahnstraße

As mentioned above, Evolution is the sequel to Instinct, which was released for the old Xbox. At the same time, Predator was also released for the Xbox 360, which was an optimized version of Instincts and Evolution on the new console. As with the main game, there is no OST, just a gamerip, which again has to make do without track names - in other words, a console game.

The albums comprise 47 (Evolution) and 69 (Predator) tracks and, as they are once again composed by Haslinger, do nothing fundamentally different. It feels like the intensity of some tracks has increased somewhat and the density of stingers has also increased (i.e. short pieces, usually a few seconds long, which are used to end songs with a bang or similar). In this context, we can speak of an 'evolution'.

Games from the Far Cry-series

Due to the fact that Predator is a port, many of the tracks originate from the Evolution-score. I was able to identify 28 of them, but the composer seems to have produced something else for the Xbox 360 in regards to the remaining 41 pieces - or I couldn't identify them correctly. Here, too, everything remains the same. Tribal sounds mix with classic military action to conjure up that hunter-in-the-jungle feeling. Every now and then there are more emotional piano sounds (Far Cry Instincts: Predator [Gamerip] 27), but for me there is nothing worth mentioning due to the lack of identity. Connoisseurs of the game may see it differently.
