Office music
If you want to learn programming in a fun way, 7 Billion Humans is just the thing for you. As in its predecessor Human Resource Machine from 2015, we have employees of a super corporation place packages from the input to the output conveyor belt using a sequence of commands. It doesn't sound very exciting, but it's actually really interesting and charmingly presented in the 2D boy style.
Musically, the game follows in the footsteps of its direct predecessor - unfortunately, as with Human Resource Machine, 7 Billion Humans doesn't sound like the fantastic World of Goo. Instead, we hear jazzy and spherical, almost futuristic tracks that fit thematically with the cyber corporation, but conversely offer little variance and accents. Tracks like The Data is Wranglin‘ Itself are upbeat and create a good atmosphere, but in my opinion they are not enough to make it to the soundtrack Olympus. But, and this has to be said: 7 Billion Humans is a puzzle game - and you might want to have some peace and quiet with it.
Nostalgia warning
The rating of the individual tracks is purely subjective and clearly colored by my own experience with the game. You can find out more in the article About Nostalgia.
